Women’s Ministry
Our Purpose
The women of Kankakee Valley Christian Church gather to know God deeply, to live like Christ in the ordinary places of our lives, and to walk with one another toward Him. We believe transformation happens in real friendships around real conversation — not in programs, but in people.
What We're About
We're a group of women in Wheatfield and DeMotte who are learning to love God, live Christ, and lead people — starting with each other.
Love God. We open the Scriptures together, ask honest questions, and make room for prayer. Growing closer to God is the root of everything else we do.
Live Christ. What we learn on Thursday afternoon follows us into Friday — into our homes, our workplaces, the school pickup line, the aisles at Stracks. A changed life is the most natural witness there is.
Lead People. We look out for the woman sitting alone, the newcomer, the friend in a hard season. Every one of us is invited to bring someone with her.
Fall 2026 Semester: The Chosen, Season 1
Thursdays, 1:00–2:30 p.m., beginning September 17, 2026
Join us for an eight-week journey through The Chosen, the acclaimed television series about the life of Jesus. Each week we'll watch one episode together, then enjoy relaxed conversation about the people, the Scriptures behind the story, and what it means for our lives today.
Whether you've been studying the Bible for years or you're simply curious about Jesus, you'll find a welcoming place here to ask questions, share ideas, and connect with other women. No homework. No pressure. Just meaningful discussion, laughter, encouragement, and new friendships.
Coffee, conversation, and a fresh look at the life of Jesus. Grab a drink and a snack, make yourself comfortable, and don't worry if you've missed a week or have never seen The Chosen. You'll fit right in.
